I’m a big advocate of BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to the airport. But I think they’re overstating how many travelers will use it as it is currently designed. Why? Well a lot of people don’t realize the airport station is in the new international terminal -- that’s OK for employees, but a long way from the gates that serve LA or Seattle or Denver, etc. Second, only one in three trains through SFO will actually stop at SFO. One has to ask oneself, why is that?
I cannot support extending BART through the Peninsula. The huge infrastructure that would be required to bring the system through Burlingame would sever our city and create an unsightly barrier between east and west. What is your opinion about Transportation
